APRIL IPSY BAG

April IPSY bag time!

After seeing the pictures of the bag I wasn't too excited. I didn't think it was that cute. I got it in the mail and it isn't so bad after all.

First up is JulieG nail color. Didn't see a color name on the bottle, but it's a pretty bright pink color. Perfect for Summer.

Second is a blush from Pandora's Make up box in Pink Carnation. It has a creamy formula and blends out nicely. Love the color, it's right up my alley.

Ultra light face lotion from Lather. Love the formula, isn't greasy. Perfect day time moisturizer.

The Balm Cosmetics Single Eye shadow from Nude Dude in Fit. I really like the color and again the formula is smooth and creamy.

Lastly is Mullein & Sparrow Mini Lip & Cheek Tint. It smells awful and doesn't really have a color to it. Won't be something I will be using.

Swatches of blush, eye shadow and lip tint.

MARCH IPSY BAG

I'm SO behind in my IPSY Bags since we went on vacation! Here is my March bag.

The bag itself is so so cute!

First product is Coolway Oil treatment. Excited to try this. My hair is usually in the dry side, but after having Baby G my hair is even more dry. I'm excited to see if this makes a difference.

Second product is this pūr-lisse facial cleanser. I've been using this stuff since I got it this month and I LOVE it. It takes off all my make up even my mascara & eyeliner. I'd definitely buy the full size!

Next up is the Marsk Mineral Eye shadow in Fifty Shades. I didn't open this or swatch it because I plan on giving it away. Not really my color.

Next is NYX Buttergloss Lipstick in Pops Exsplosif. I love this formula and color. It's so creamy and a your lips but better color!

Lastly is Chella Ivory lace highlighter. I've used it a few times to define my brows a bit more and I love it! Goes on smooth and creamy, blends out nicely!

I finally used some of my reward points and got this lip stick from Gallany Cosmetics in Bordeaux.

Here are the swatches for both lipsticks. Bordeaux is on top and Pops Exsplosif on bottom

How I Clean My Make Up Brushes

It's been a LONG time since I last posted and I apologize for that! I am now getting caught up and will have my March- May IPSY posts up shortly!

I figured I would do a post about how I clean my make up brushes. It's super easy and the video will be down below.

Ever since I saw the Sigma Brush cleaning glove I've wanted it, but I could not justify spending $40 on a silicone glove. I came across the Brush Egg and for $8 I decided to give it a try. I love it! It makes cleaning brushes so much easier, your hands don't get raw from rubbing a handful of brushes on it, and it really gets deep down in the brush hairs.

All I use is baby shampoo, the Brush Egg, paper towel, wipes and a rolled up towel to dry them.

Thanks for reading the post and check out the video below. Let me know if you have any questions and please let me know what type of posts you'd like to see!!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit

I picked up the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit from my local Ulta a few months back. I've heard nothing but great things about this palette. It costs $40 and comes with 6 different shades. I got the Light to Medium toned palette.

There are 3 highlighting shades and 3 contouring shades

These powders are smooth and creamy and they blend SO amazing. I usually use the color 'Fawn' to do my contouring meaning the other two contour shades are typically left unused. I do use the 'Banana' shade to set my under eye concealer. I like to mix 'Vanilla' and 'Sand' for my highlighting.

The palette was the standard pre-made one that you can order online and pick up in the store. However, Anastasia Beverly Hills website has it where you can create your own kit and pick the right shades just for you, so you wouldn't waste the two contour shades like I do. I'm hoping once I get a little sun kissed in the Summer those shades will be perfect for me.

Here is my post on how I highlight and Contour

FEBRUARY IPSY BAG

Hi dolls!

It's time for this month's IPSY bag! I'm happy to say that I was really happy with everything I received! Plus the bag itself is super cute!

First item is from Mitchell and Peach. A fine radiance face oil in a sample size with 0.34 fl oz. Oil goes a long way so that should last me awhile as I will most likely only use it at night time. I'm excited to try this out as I have dry skin and even dryer skin in the harsh Winter months. It smells very natural smelling.

Next up is Demeter Roll on perfume oil| First Love. It comes with .29 fl oz which is the perfect size to throw into your purse. When applied it's more like a dry oil and it drys pretty fast. It has a stronger scent, but it's a good one. Smells a lot like baby oil with a floral scent mixed in.

City Color Creamy Lip Stain in Flirtini is the next product in the bag. I love this color, it is right up my alley!  It goes on very smooth and opaque.

Next is once again another champagne eye shadow. I feel like I've been getting a lot of these in my bags. I'm not too disappointed with this one though because it's probably the best one I've received. It's Rob Scheppy for 'tini beauty in the color Pearl Fizz. It's super creamy and buttery and such a great high light shade or an all over lid color. It blends nicely as well which is always a plus ;).

Last item in this month's bag is a blush from ModelCo Cosmetics in the color Peach Bellini 02. It is so soft and buttery to the touch as well. It also blends out nicely. It is a burnt peachy/ marsala color.Another color that I just adore!

Here are swatches of the lip stain, eye shadow and blush. Top picture is without flash, bottom is with flash.

JANUARY IPSY BAG

Hi ya'll!

It's time for January's IPSY Bag!

This month's bag wasn't all that bad. There were only two things I didn't really care for.

First product is Eco-beauty good day moisturizer. I'm excited to always try out new skin care and I just ran out of my everyday moisture so it was perfect timing!
Second product is Elizabeth Mott's all over eyeshadow brush! This brush is AMAZING! SO SO SO soft!
Next is Pacifica's Natural Mineral Coconut Eyeshadow in Ethereal. It's just an opal colored eyeshadow, goes on smooth and is a great highlight shade. I wasn't too exited for this since I do have a lot of shadows this shade already.
The next product I wasn't too excited about either. It's Hikari eye liner in the color Storm. It's a gun metal gray color, again already received an eyeliner this color.

Swatches of the eyeshadow and eye liner

The last product is this fingernail polish from Probelle in Into the blue.  I've never heard of this brand so I'm excited to try out the formula & I absolutely love the color which will be perfect for Spring!

Marissa

TOO FACED CHOCOLATE BAR PALETTE

Hi there!!

Here is the second palette I got for Christmas! Oh my goodness, I love it! One of the best things about this is it smells, yes, smells like CHOCOLATE! :)

I love the metal packaging! Snaps closed nicely & also comes with a mirror!

This palette has a nice range of colors and all the names are a type of chocolate. How cute is that!

Here are the swatches of the shadows

I'm so excited to do some eye looks with this palette.
