SEPTEMBER IPSY BAG

Hi there! It's that time for the monthly Ipsy bag!

This month's bag is a gun metal color with studs. Super cute and a great size. 

First product is Mitchell and Peach Luxury Hand cream. You get 1.1 fl oz. It smells like sunscreen mixed with peaches. Not a heavy scent at all. It's a light weight somewhat watery consistency, non greasy. 

Second, is Nourish Organic Moisturizing Cream Face Cleanser- Cucumber & Watercress for all skin types. Doesn't really have a scent. It's smooth and creamy and lathers nicely. 

Next product is Cailyn Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss in Love Affair. I love love love this gloss. Is such the perfect color for Fall! It goes on so smooth and it's that super sticky, gooey type of gloss, thankfully. 

The next product is Pacifica's Natural Minerals eye liner in Gun Metal. Goes on smooth and creamy. 

The last product is a Crown Brush. It's double ended with a crease and shadow brush. Super soft bristles and two brushes in one is always a plus.

AUGUST IPSY BAG

Hi there! It's time for this months Ipsy bag!

First up is the You're the Balm in Green Apple by Absolute. This balm has super cute packaging, smells good & goes on nicely. I really like it! 

Second product is Urban Decay's Perversion mascara. It has a pretty thick brush and does an okay job on my lashes. It's not a mascara I would run out and buy personally. 

Next is The Lord & Berry mini kajal-kohl liner in Black SILK #1001. Super pigmented, goes on smooth and blends nicely if wanted. 

Next is dr. brandt pores no more primer. It comes out a skin tone color. Blends in nicely. Didn't see a huge difference in minimizing my pores. 

Last is Coastal Scents Forever Blush. One is a matte terra cotta color and the other is a shimmery mauve/pink color. Super pigmented and blends nicely.

JULY IPSY BAG

Hi there! It's time for July's Ipsy Bag!

Here's the bag and the products I received. 

First up- Be fine daily moisturizer with SPF 15. A little bit goes a long way, it's a thin somewhat watery formula and has a strong sunscreen scent. Absorbs nicely into the skin. 

Second is Bare Minerals 5 in 1 cream eyeshadow in Divine Wine. It has a nice texture, blends easily, good coverage. Would have liked a lighter color. Might have to buy more. 

Next is the Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm in Unique Pink. It's super sheer, but hydrating. 

Next is Hang Ten Dark Tanning Oil. Not sure I will be using this any time soon since I am pregnant and don't lay out. 

Last is Whet Nail Polish in Facetious. Super pretty cobalt blue perfect for the Fall. Love this color. 

Overall I am pretty happy with this bag.

Maybelline The Nudes Palette & Dupes

Hi there pretties!

I was at my local Walmart and came across the Maybelline The Nudes Palette. I picked it up and thought this could possibly be a dupe for a palette I have back at home. So why not pick it up for $9.98. 

Here's the palette 

Super pretty colors for an everyday neutral eye.

Now here's for the dupe part. I have the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. I used it in my Valentine's Day Tutorial. 

They're not exact dupes, but pretty close and you get even more shadows in the Maybelline Palette and for less. The Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette is $28. 

Here's the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette to compare to the Maybelline The Nudes. 

The swatches on the left are the Urban Decay Palette and the right is the Maybelline the Nudes. 

First two swatches is Venus from UD & the right is the close dupe from Maybelline. The one from The Nudes has a more gold undertone than Venus.  

The middle swatches are Foxy from UD & the right is from The Nudes, pretty spot on. 

The last swatches are W.O.S from UD & the shade from The Nudes. The Nudes color has a shimmer and more pink undertone. 

Next is the swatch for Urban Decay's color Naked 2 and the Maybelline shadow. The UD is a little lighter. 

The middle swatches is UD Faint & The Nudes color, again pretty spot on. 

The last swatch is UD Crave & The Nides color, both matte blacks. The UD is just a little bit more pigmented. 

All in all I think they're pretty comparable palettes and if you don't want to fork out the $28 for the Urban Decay Naked Basics, go spend the $10 & get more shades as well ;).

MAKE UP EXPIRATION GUIDELINE

HI LOVELIES!!

This post is all about when to toss that make up! Let's all be real, we all keep that eyeshadow because it's so pretty or I'm sure I'll use this soon and never end up doing so. Now's the time to go through your make up & start tossing the old stuff. It just makes room for you to go out and buy new make up or rediscover things you forgot you had ;)

This is all a guideline & recommendations. You can choose to go by it or not. :) 

Your make up will have a container with the recommended expiration date on it. Most will be a container with a number (months/year). 

PRIMER: 12 MONTHS

FOUNDATION & CONCEALER: 6-12 MONTHS. If it has separated or the color has lightened toss it. 

BRONZER: 12-18 MONTHS. If it starts to be flaky, toss it.

POWDER EYESHADOW/ BLUSH: 2 YEARS. Again,if it is flaky, toss it.

LIQUID EYELINER & MASCARA: 3 MONTHS. If mascara is clumpy or starts to smell bad, toss it. Liquid liner will usually dry out. 

PENCIL LINER: 9-12 MONTHS, some 24 MONTHS. I would toss around 6 months since it is touch  eye and can contain bacteria that causes eye infections. 

LIP STICK: 2 YEARS. Toss if it starts to get dry

LIP GLOSS: 1 YEAR. Toss if super sticky or smells bad.

NAIL POLISH: 1-2 YEARS. If it turns goopy or separates & wont form back after a good shaking, toss it.

Hope this makes you go through your make up & get rid of the old. I mean who doesn't love new make up :)

JUNE IPSY BAG

Hi there!! Back with this months Ipsy bag! I was so excited when I opened this bag!! I loved everything in it!!

I received the Laneige BB Cushion. It's exclusively sold at Target. It came with a puff and three shades to choose from. 

Next is the Be a Bombshell Lash Out mascara in black. Always love trying out mascaras. 

Up next. The Jesse's girl liquid eyeliner. I've been wanting to try this for a long long time. 

The next item is NYX bitter gloss in apple strudel. I love their butter glosses ! 

Last but not least is the Marc Anthony Beach Spray. I haven't ever tried a texturizing spray before so I'm excited to try this one out. I've heard great things about it! Perfect just for summer :). 

Like I said I'm in love with this bag and cannot wait to try it out!! Thanks for reading!!

PRODUCTS NOT WORTH BUYING

Hi loves! Back with another post. This time it's all about products I tried and didn't think were worth the money spent. 

1. Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Hydratingg Cleanser-$7.99. This cleanser just didn't cut it for me. It didn't  sud up and felt my face feeling tight and dry afterwards. I decided to use it on my make up brushes  just to use it up and ended up just tossing it because again it didn't sud up or get any of the make up out of the brushes. This product was a dud or me. 

2. Clear scalp & hair therapy shampoo-$5.99. Again a product I didn't like. It didn't foam up, left my hair feeling dry. Just didn't feel like it cleaned my hair one bit. 

3. Jordana Best length extreme lengthening mascara. $3.99. This mascara didn't lengthen my lashes one bit. I felt like it gave more volume than anything. It was clumpy and once it dried on the lashes it felt very rubber like. 

4. ELF lip exfoliator-$3.99. This product is just like a lipstick but has brown sugar and an oil in it. It broke the first time I used it. It did do an okay job of getting the dead skin off, but I prefer my Lush Mint Julip lip scrub over this one.
